Tote-it™ is a hands-free bag carrier designed to give shoppers a more convenient way to carry their purchases. Design and manufactured in New York, the product transfers the bag load to the shoulder, leaving your hands free for other tasks.

Early Process

Initial market research showed that while there are quite a few multiple bag carriers on the market, most of them still required the customer to hold something in their hand. A hands-free shoulder solution became a prominent focus early on.

Prototypes

Multiple rounds of 3D printed prototypes were created to test the design. The magnets were dropped early on for simplicity (and we discovered they weren’t that helpful anyway), and we refined the hook size and structure to be more suitable for different bags and ease of manufacturing.

Made in New York

Our manufacturing partner in Congers, NY tested dozens of thermoplastic combinations before we settled on the right formula. Since Tote-It™ is molded from a single material, it was important that the final solution was flexible enough for the shoulder strap, but also rigid and durable for the hook strength.

“Jennifer Tate has been instrumental in the development of Tote-It (tote-it.net). Her patentable design has been well received by retailers and individuals alike.

Jennifer has been a valuable resource. She has been able to take my fundamental idea and turn it into a beautiful, usable, manufactured product. In addition, she has been very supportive and helpful in my efforts.”
